Rankel walnut liqueur, 375 ml
For the classically developed walnut liqueur, green walnuts with a still soft kernel from the Carnuntum and Neusiedler See region were used. A proprietary apple distillate is used as the starting base. The walnut liqueur is matured ("macerated") for months in large glass carboys in bright, sunny locations, which contributes to the brown color and flavor of the liqueur. The main maturation of the distillate from the 2017 harvest was at least 48 months.
Tasting notes: intense and full-bodied in taste, underlined by fragrant spices.
Usability: as a digestif, as a cocktail or to refine and complement dishes in fine dining.
